april food swap

We can’t wait to see what you’ve been cooking as we transition into spring (fingers crossed it feels like spring soon!). Get your tickets for the April 6 food swap here

Our little swap always sells out, so please be sure to reserve a ticket only for yourself and remind your friends and significant others to reserve their own ticket. This way, as many people as possible get to participate.

The April swap will be hosted by Canvas.Co/Work on Sunday April 6, from 2-4 pm near DuPont Circle. The swapping starts around 2:30, so plan to arrive between 2-2:30 to set up. Since we borrow the Canvas space, we can’t get folks in early.

If this is your first swap and want to know what to expect, you can find out more about how the swap works here. Check out our Facebook page for photos from previous swaps as well.

sign up for the pen pal swap

image

We have some exciting news to share. DC Food Swap, Brooklyn Swappers, and the Portland Preservation Society are partnering together to facilitate an old-fashioned pen pal program, a way to meet your fellow food swappers through snail mail! Since there are so many incredible food swaps throughout the country, we wanted to band together to foster friendships across the miles in the way we love best - food swapping.

Participating is easy. Before August 10, fill out this form and we’ll match you with a swapper in another city. We’ll introduce you and your swapping pen pal via email, and you two can exchange addresses and make a swap! Read our Pen Pal Swap FAQ for more on how to participate.

Fine Print: Please only sign up for the swap if you currently live in or near Washington, D.C., Portland, or Brooklyn. Also please be a courteous swapper and only sign up if you can commit to shipping some goodies to your assigned partner. We’re not setting a swap deadline, but sending your treats within a month of being matched to a swapper would be ideal. Your privacy is important to us, and your name and email address will only be shared with the swapper with whom you’re matched up.

Happy swapping!
